Coral Reef Doll is a new artist based in China. Recently they released their first dolls, mantis girls Amber and Opal.
Amber and Opal are 1/4 scale (MSD size). They can be ordered in white, normal or red resin. They are available as nude/blank dolls and half sets. The “half sets” are so called because the wigs are not available for purchase, both girls can be ordered with everything shown in their promotional pictures except for the wigs.
Amber is the girl shown in red resin and Opal is the girl shown in white resin. Amber has two pairs of eyes: normal eyes and compound eyes above the normal eyes. Opal only has a pair of normal eyes. Amber’s normal eyes are partially-closed in a way that’s called “romantic style” by many BJD companies. Opal’s eyes are fully open.
Amber and Opal have optional parts that go into the mantis part of their body. Amber comes with the “arthropod appendages”, which are the four additional leg-like parts. Opal comes with the transparent wings, which are the four wing parts that go into the same areas that Amber’s arthropod appendages go into. Both types of option parts can be purchased for both girls.
Both girls come with ballet feet, however flat feet and heel feet can be ordered for both of them. Human hands can also be ordered for them.
It is possible to order each girl’s ballet shoes separately. Opal’s outfit can be ordered separately, but Amber’s outfit is not available for order separately.
