BJDivas: Longest Layaways Anywhere!
We aim to offer the longest layaways available anywhere! Simply tell us how long you need, or alternatively, tell us a ballpark figure for how much you’d like to pay each month, and we’ll tailor something for you!
Are you new to layaways and don’t know how long to request? Not to worry! There aren’t any wrong answers, but if you’d like to pick a length from our most commonly requested ones, they are: 3 months, 6 months, 8 months, 10 months and 12 months.
We fully understand that things come up, so if your payment will be late, simply let us know. We have always tried to be as flexible as possible with layaway extensions, and that is not changing. If you are communicating with us and need additional time because of unexpected circumstances, please reach out—we will continue to consider extensions and unusual circumstances on a case-by-case basis.
However, we are no longer able to keep layaways open indefinitely when there has been no communication or payment activity. A layaway may be considered defaulted after 3 months with no contact from the customer, or 6 months with no payment, whichever occurs first.
Our goal is still for every doll to make it to the person who ordered it. These limits are intended to give customers a very generous amount of flexibility while also allowing us to maintain clear records, manage inventory responsibly, and prevent unresolved layaways from remaining open indefinitely.
As it is our goal to help our fellow BJD hobbyists get their dream dolls, we strive to meet each individual’s specific needs in facilitating payment via layaway. If you’d like invoices more frequently than the standard monthly invoice (i.e. fortnightly), please don’t hesitate to contact us! We’re happy to set things up for you. 🙂
Our layaway program is designed to make BJDs more financially accessible while still creating a clear commitment between BJDivas and the customer. Because long-term layaways require us to commit inventory, funds, recordkeeping, and storage to an order, please carefully consider whether the payment schedule is realistic for you before committing. Layaway payments are non-refundable, and customers are responsible for remaining in communication with us and maintaining reasonable payment activity throughout the layaway.
Our full layaway terms and conditions are as follows:
- Layaway payments are normally calculated by subtracting the down payment from the total, then dividing by the number of months of the layaway required.
- All layaway payments are non-refundable.
- Pre-orders and layaways are considered final sales. Pre-ordered items are made to order and cannot be canceled or refunded.
- Minimum order amount to qualify for layaway is $100.
- Layaway payments are normally due approximately every 30 days according to the payment schedule established for the order.
- If you anticipate being unable to make a scheduled payment, please contact us. We are happy to consider payment extensions and adjustments on a case-by-case basis.
- A layaway will be considered defaulted if either of the following occurs:
- 3 consecutive months pass without any communication from the customer; or
- 6 consecutive months pass without any layaway payment being received.
- Communication regarding an order does not eliminate the requirement to make payments indefinitely; likewise, occasional payments do not eliminate the need to remain in reasonable communication with us. Exceptional circumstances may be considered on a case-by-case basis at BJDivas’s discretion.
- Once a layaway is considered defaulted, the order may be canceled and any amounts previously paid are forfeited in accordance with our non-refundable layaway policy.
- If your pre-order arrives before you finish your layaway payments, you can elect to finish paying the remaining amount, after which your item(s) will be shipped to you on the following business days. Otherwise, the arrived item(s) will ship after completion of the final payment.
- Payments can be made digitally through PayPal, wire transfer, or Western Union. They can also be made physically through check or money order, however as physical payments require transit time to reach us through the mail system, please factor in this delay, especially if you are expecting item(s) to ship following the processing of your final payment.
- Before a layaway is formally canceled for default, BJDivas will make a reasonable attempt to contact the customer using the contact information associated with the order. If we do not receive a response within 14 days of the final notice, the layaway may be canceled.
To order a BJD with layaway, please follow these steps:
- Select your doll with all of your desired options and add it to cart.
- Go to your cart. Check out from the cart. Do not use the “Buy Now” button.
- Click the “Proceed to Checkout” button, NOT the “PayPal Checkout” button even if you plan to use PayPal to pay your layaway.
- Fill out your billing and shipping details, then choose shipping method and “Pay with PayPal”. It doesn’t matter which shipping method you choose, as you won’t be billed for shipping until your order is ready to ship. Shipping is not included in your layaway invoices.
Even if you plan to be paying for your layaway without using PayPal, please choose the Pay with PayPal method. This is the only way to generate an order number. - Select “Cancel and return to BJDivas” when you’ve been redirected to the payment page on PayPal.
This will return you back on our page. Find your Order Number under “My Account” –> “Orders”. Send us a message with your Order Number and the layaway length you need. - If you are not using PayPal, please contact us directly for assistance with your layaway order.
